My name is Jasmine Kay Uy. I am an Austin, TX based digital 2D artist with a focus in visual development and illustration. I graduated in 2018 with a BFA in Studio Art and a Digital Arts & Media Bridging Disciplines Certification from The University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT Austin, I worked as an undergraduate Arts and Entertainment teaching assistant for the School of Design and Creative Technologies as well as an undergraduate research assistant for the Simulation and Games Applications Lab.
In high school I studied graphic design and became fluent enough in Photoshop and Illustrator to earn my Adobe Certified Associate in both programs.
In college, I developed a strong foundation in traditional art practices and art theory through my Studio Art practices. However, I have also taken several classes outside of my degree plan in order to merge my traditional skills with modern digital media and focus more on visual development/concept art, illustration, and animation.
I strive to be flexible in other areas while having a strong foundation in 2D production art. I am always willing to learn new skills and try to combine my knowledge from several disciplines in order to be a well-rounded artist.
